Shrink the wave so Q can see: Ezreal lane gets much better when Q creates a step for a passive-backed auto, and the max-range Q-only posture is one of the main ways players strip the champion down to half his damage
E is usually your right to keep autoing, so the cleaner pattern is to start fights with passive-building R and spell weave, then use the forward blink only after the engage answer is gone or the target is already stuck
Ezreal is safer late than stronger late; his recent results are healthier in the one- to two-item 20-30 minute window and fall off in longer even games against true hypercarries
Use R when it changes the next few seconds, not when it might look prettiest later. In lane or on reset timers, that can mean firing it through the wave to fix tempo or arrive with passive already stacked. Around skirmishes and dragon fights, it is often best early, while people are still grouped and before you have fully committed your feet, because the hit gives you passive, softens targets, and makes the rest of your weave faster and easier to cash with autos. If you keep saving it for a perfect snipe, you miss a lot of the spell's real value on Ezreal.
Ezreal gains increasing Attack Speed each time he successfully hits a spell, stacking up to 5 times.
Ezreal fires a damaging bolt of energy which reduces all of his cooldowns slightly if it strikes an enemy unit.
Ezreal fires an orb that sticks to the first champion or objective hit. If Ezreal hits an enemy with the orb, it detonates and deals damage.
Ezreal teleports to a target nearby location and fires a homing bolt which strikes the nearest enemy unit. Prioritizes enemies stuck with Essence Flux.
Ezreal winds up before firing a powerful barrage of energy that deals massive damage to each unit it passes through (damage is reduced for minions and non-epic monsters).
