How to play Smolder
Read the full guide
Play by the Smolder rule “route the stacks, not just the farm”: take free early Q champion touches, fire W for champion-plus-wave value, and after lane treat mid waves plus raptors as part of your passive path instead of hiding in side lane
Remember that 225 changes your Q, not your body—once the upgrade lands, your job is to keep landing safe Qs that turn one tagged target into spread pressure and executes, not to walk forward like a frontliner because the breakpoint arrived
In lane, read every enemy last-hit as a stack offer and keep the trade short enough that E still protects the next collect, because Smolder feels worst when he loses the health and spacing needed for repeated W-Q or Q-W-E touches and falls into a real early gold hole
If your stacks are late, stop trying to “catch up” with greedy side-lane farming or forced all-ins. Fix it by making the next few minutes dense: take mid if it is available, clear the wave fast, grab the nearest safe camp like raptors, and look for champion touches with W and Q whenever a fight or contest is already happening near you. In lane, that means valuing short collectable trades over ego trades; after lane, it means shortening your route so you can farm and still arrive. You are trying to rebuild passive pace without dropping off the map, not gamble for one big repair play.
Hitting champions with Abilities and killing enemies with Super Scorcher Breath grants a stack of Dragon Practice. Stacks increase the damage of Smolders basic Abilities.
Smolder breathes fire on an enemy. As he gains more stacks, this ability becomes more powerful.
Smolder lets out an adorable flaming sneeze that explodes when hitting enemy champions.
Smolder takes flight ignoring terrain and bombarding the lowest health enemy.
Smolder calls his mom to breath fire from above, dealing extra damage and slowing enemies in the center of her fire.
