Before every E, decide which minion is your way back out; Yasuo lane strength comes from borrowing the wave for routes, so spending the dash target you needed to leave is how a good trade turns into a stranded one .
Yasuo’s best mids are the ones where normal lane actions stop feeling normal for the opponent—last-hits and spellcasts start happening inside your wave, shield, and tornado threat—and recent data backs that kind of repeated 1v1 pressure much more than random early side action .
Treat every knockup as a question, not an automatic R: only take Last Breath when the landing spot is still playable, and remember the post-ult armor penetration often makes staying on a reachable diver or frontliner the correct Yasuo choice .
When something goes airborne, check the landing spot before you press R. If you will land in front of point-and-click CC, under tower, or with no nearby wave to keep moving through, skip it and keep playing the fight. The better Yasuo ults are the ones that leave you with one more step: a minion to dash through, a wall already used, or a target you can keep hitting safely after the knockup ends. In messy fights, that often means ulting the reachable diver or frontliner instead of waiting for a perfect backline angle. If you cannot describe the next two seconds after landing, you probably should not ult yet.
Yasuo's Critical Strike Chance is increased. Additionally, Yasuo builds toward a shield whenever he is moving. The shield triggers when he takes damage from a champion or monster.
Thrusts forward, damaging all enemies in a line.On hit, grants a stack of Gathering Storm for a few seconds. At 2 stacks, Steel Tempest fires a whirlwind that knocks Airborne.Steel Tempest is treated as a basic attack and scales with all the same things.
Creates a moving wall that blocks all enemy projectiles for 4 seconds.
Dashes through target enemy, dealing magic damage. Each cast increases subsequent dash's damage, up to a max amount.Cannot be re-cast on the same enemy for a few seconds. If Steel Tempest is cast while dashing, it will strike as a circle.
Blinks to an Airborne enemy champion, dealing physical damage and holding all Airborne enemies in the area in the air. Grants maximum Flow but resets all stacks of Gathering Storm. For a moderate time afterwards, Yasuo's critical strikes gain significant Bonus Armor Penetration.
